Water

Water
Water is said to be the elixir of life and the fountain of youth. Water is Life as they say. Don’t you know that three-fourths or about 71 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered by water? Just like our bodies, most of the composition in our body is made out of water, and it is the same as that on Earth. So imagine how we can appreciate God’s creation to mankind.
Water as you look around is found on the seas, oceans, rivers, lakes and falls. No living thing can exist without water that is how important it is in this planet called Earth. Since I live here in Iligan City Mindanao Philippines which they call as the City of Waterfalls, we have a lot of tourist spots here that you can visit and enjoy with your family and friends.
Our water here is safe to drink. I just drink directly from the tap faucet. The water in our city have been found as producing no side effects. Since I have been living here for almost ten years now, I can say that the water here in my city is really safe to drink and use. Believe me or not, my family and friends here call me as the water boy or the superhero, similar to Marvel comics who was called the Aqua-man, since I drink almost 6 to 10 litters a day and at times I take a bath like 3 times a day since the climate here is really warm. I just live in front of a sea which really give me a good morning breeze when I wake up during the day.

Water to me is like a free flowing river that never ends. We just have to go with the flow like in our present lives that we are living today, we never stop surviving and just go with the flow of what life has to offer. In chemistry water is called H2O meaning it combines with hydrogen and oxygen or the air, as well call it, the oxygen we breathe in to live
Safe drinking water is essential to humans and other life forms even though it provides no calories or organic nutrients. Access to safe drinking water has improved over the last decade in almost every part of the world, but approximately one billion people still lack access to safe water and over 2.5 billion lack access to adequate sanitation as well. Water really plays an important role in our everyday living,
Water is also becoming an expensive commodity since, safe potable water is not easy to find. In California, the farmers have been rationed water by the government because of the drought. Large acres of farms have been affected by the lack of water. In some parts of Africa, water has become so precious to the point that tribal conflict have emerged due to access and availability of water. These are resource-based conflicts or “water wars.” By conserving water on a daily basis, we are able to provide safe water for ourselves and our families in a sustainable manner.
We use water in just about everything in practical life: in cooking, cleaning up, washing etc. In the fields, even children enjoy playing with water; especially during rainy days. They would go out into the rain and play, which they would do, until the rain stops.
Oh how I wish I were Water myself – with the importance it gives every living thing on earth; and perhaps, in other planets as well. We really wouldn’t know…I am very confident in saying then, that we need Water more than food, clothing, and shelter.
“Water, water, water…You are life itself to me!”
